Georgie Holbrook is a multimedia artist and textile designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Houston, TX, Holbrook now has made their mark within the community as a working creative with a passion for knitwear and production. Holbrook has always been dedicated to their character work, illustration, and fine art and now is committed to maintaining and developing their craftsmanship from their tenacity to always create. From the very beginning, they have always understood their queerness while exploring who they are through transformation and expression. Now with marketing their brand they have continued to expand that even more in a professional field. Holbrook received a B.F.A. in Fibers in 2022 from the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked as the Design Intern for Marrisa Wilson NY for NYFW while also freelancing sewing and machine knitting for Mondo Guerra and Jacques Agbloby. With the help of being a FSF 2022 Scholar, Holbrook has invested in their goals for their own potential studio within surface design and knitwear by building more connections. Through these formative years they have honed in on their love of furthering their daily practice of machine and hand knitting throughout many opportunities. Currently they work under Lindsay Vrckovnik at Verconiik as a Knitwear Production Intern.
